Kindergarten 2025
If you have an incoming kindergartener for 2025, and are interested in them being considered for the Two Way Immersion program, here is the application that needs to be completed. The program at Rosa Parks and Hayward have a combination of Spanish and English students in the kindergarten room. Half of their day is in Spanish and the other half of the day is in English. Each room has a combination of Spanish and English speaking students. It's an amazing program! If you have questions, please email kiersta.machacek@k12.sd.us.

We had a little staff fun today! They were given random snowman pieces and had to find their matching color partners. Once they did, they brought them to the office for a special treat! Each stocking had treats including some pull tab cards. If they matched all three tabs, they won hot cocoa bombs also! There were lots of smiles!

Two boys from 401 took charge and made "Santa Books" for the students in K02. These little books had hand drawn pictures with the words written underneath, but the first letters were missing. They even laminated their mini-books so they could practice this with all the students.
Here they are working with some of the kindergartners on the books they created.
